An early Easter surprise

We decided to share the gender with our parents by getting them each an early Easter basket. Each basket was filled with eggs and in each egg was BLUE M&Ms. They were all pleasantly surprised and they are overjoyed that our Baby Boy Grace is on the way!

15 weeks and counting! We're having a......

My 15 week appointment was Friday and it was a very exciting time! I was able to see that baby Grace actually looks like a little person now. It is crazy how fast time is going by and to know that our little baby is only about 4 inches long and already has a little body is amazing!

Unfortunately, Tim could not make it to this appointment because of work. So, I asked the ultrasound tech to hide the gender from me so that Tim and I could share the experience together.

When I got home from work, Tim and I opened a taped-and-sealed envelope. We peeled open the paper to reveal that our little honey is

A BABY BOY!!!

We are super excited and cannot wait to meet our little one. I am particularly excited to begin picking out things for the nursery. I have been waiting to find out whether I would need to incorporate pink or blue and now it is official!

During the ultrasound, I got to see him opening and closing his little mouth as if he was talking to me. He kept moving his little arms and was even scratching his little head. His feet were kicking around, he was such a little wiggle worm. It was the neatest thing to see such a little person in my belly!

13 Weeks and Counting...

I have not posted anything lately, so I decided to stop in and give a quick update.

Time seems to be going by more quickly than I thought! I am amidst the end of my 1st trimester and looking forward to the 2nd! At our 11 week doctor's appointment we did not get to hear Baby Grace's heartbeat or get an ultrasound, but we did get to meet the doctor who will hopefully be delivering the baby. My doctor has decided as of June, she will be taking a break from delivering. She recommended the new doctor who works in the same office as her everyday. We like her a lot so far and we are happy that it was an easy transition and that we were able to meet her during the beginning stages of the pregnancy. She said everything looked great, so I left with a smile.

Our next appointment is in 2 weeks and we get to find out the GENDER! We are so happy! I know some people might like a surprise, but Tim and I cannot stand the curiosity! We are ready to call Baby Grace he or she instead of it :) . I am also ready to start looking for ideas to decorate the nursery :P .

On a side note, the day of our anniversary I felt that my tummy was getting a little firmer and seemed to be showing a little (to me). That was a very exciting day for me as it is more of a reminder that there is really a baby in my belly! My clothes are fitting a tad bit tighter now, but I am not encouraging lots of weight all at once as I know it will come soon enough! I have still been lucky enough to not have any morning sickness, just a little nausea. Tim has been so helpful with me as I am going to night school to obtain my MBA. He cooks supper and wakes me up when I need to go get in bed, because I am so exhausted. He is going to make a wonderful daddy! :)

That's all for now! Have a great week!

Happy 2 year Anniversary!

Happy Anniversary to my wonderful husband! Two years ago today we made a commitment to love each other for the rest of our lives. It was the happiest day of my life and I look forward to many more wonderful years together.

I love my sweetheart Tim with all of my heart!

A poem from our wedding day...
Two years ago I married my best friend,
the one I LAUGH with as we share life's wondrous zest
as we find new enjoyments and experience all that's best.
the one I LIVE for because the world seems brighter,
as our happy times are better and our burdens feel lighter.
the one I LOVE with every fiber of my soul,
We used to feel vaguely incomplete, now together we are whole.
