Date Night & Memorial Day Weekend

Tim and I went on a date night to see Dave Matthews Band in the Woodlands.  We went to a delicious dinner and then headed to the concert.  It was nice, much needed night for the two of us.  We really enjoyed the concert.  We have been to several of his concerts and they are always fun!

Me and my honey

Tim did a great job capturing photos of the band!

On Memorial Day weekend, Aunt Chelle and Ryan came to visit.  We had lots of fun!
Saturday, we ran errands while Tim and Ryan played golf.
Saturday night, we had a bunch of neighbors over to grill and chill for Memorial Day.

Boston and his friend Logan playing in the sandbox!

Boston's 1st popsicle!
I was so happy he liked the festive Red, White, and Blue popsicles I picked up for the occasion :).

After a relaxing Sunday, we headed to a Sugarland Skeeters game.  They are a new minor league team that I heard about from a co-worker, so we decided to check it out.

Walking into the game

We sat in the grass area, because it was more friendly for Boston.
He immediately learned how to slide down the hill after spotting the park area by the field.
Boston and I spent the majority of the game going to the splash pad,
which we had to pass on the way to the park, and the sand box at the park.
They had a carousel and 3 different park areas.  He had lots of fun!

Some game time with Daddy!

Michelle and Ryan enjoying the game.
Such a cute couple! :)

B having quality time with Aunt Chelle and Ryan.

We didn't go to the game prepared for the splash pad,
so Daddy bought he and Boston new Skeeter's shirts.
Then, they watched the end of the game from the side.

We had a fun eventful weekend!

Spano's Baby Shower & Mother's Day

We headed to Shreveport for the 1st time in while.  It was so nice to be "back home".  We missed our family and friends!

On Saturday, we had a shower for Spano and baby boy Crawford.  It was really great to see her as a soon-to-be Momma!  I can't believe he is almost here!  She is due at the end of June and I can't wait to meet him and find out his name :).

The napkins were folded like diapers!

As a hostess gift, we got her a basket filled with things to help her relax!  In addition, we got her one of her cravings -some Abita beer.  We included some milk test-strips for fun! ;)

All of the hostesses.

I am SO happy for the Crawfords!  It seems like we were just at their wedding.  Time flies by so quickly.  I can't wait for our little boys to play together.  It will be lots of fun!

Me and a couple of my besties!

On Saturday evening we went over to GiGi and Pappy's to spend some much needed quality time!  Shame on me for not capturing a photo with GiGi.  I will be sure to make up for it on our next visit!

Daddy didn't feel well, so B decided to snuggle with him to help make him feel better.
Sunday morning, my sisters and I made a Mother's Day brunch for Amie.

He had lots of fun!

What?  I didn't want to get my clothes dirty! :)

Boston had to sit in a "big boy" chair.

Happy Mother's Day to us!

Sunday afternoon, we headed over to MawMaw and PawPaw's for a late lunch.  Boston and Izzy had lots of fun playing together :).

PawPaw showing Boston how to ride the tractor for the 1st time

Needless to say, B didn't care for it too much.
We think the loud noise scared him a little!

Izzy showed Boston how much fun it can be!

Izzy showed Boston how to play in the sand box.
Paw Paw built one for all his great-grand children and we were getting to bring Boston's home!
SO SPECIAL!

Boston loves his great MawMaw and great PawPaw!

We had a fun weekend and look forward to the next Shreveport visit!

Jazz Fest 2012

Tim and I joined Chad and Jill for a fun Nola weekend for Jazz Fest.  We had a great time just being a couple with a break from little Boston.  It was so nice to spend some time with great friends for a weekend of music and good food!

1st stop - Abita Springs, Louisiana.  It is such a cute, quaint little town with lots of character.

Lunch at the Abita Pub.  Yum!

The Abita Brewery

2nd stop- NOLA!

Lots of walking around New Orleans, just enjoying the atmosphere.

Pat O's piano bar with my love

We had Char-grilled oysters for dinner at Dragos.  A delicious Nola treat!

Galactic concert at 11pm.  Way late for this Momma, but a nice start to a music weekend!
I really hadn't listened to them before the concert and I really enjoyed it. Great idea Chad!

Classic trolley car rides with the cute couple -Chill!

To finish off the trip, we stopped in Lafayette at Old Town Grocery for some Poboys.  We were in a rush to get Chill to the airport and there was lots of traffic in our way.  Luckily, they made it just in time.

We had a fabulous weekend!  Thanks to Tim and Chad for letting us Gals come this year and special thanks to my Momma for watching little Boston for us. <3
