Christmas time in Katy (Part 1)

We had a fun and busy December.  Here are some photos of what we were up to, leading up to Christmas:

Very comfortable in his new forward facing carseat!

Loves dancing with his Christmas tree friend

Our baby-proof Christmas tree!
It was really nice to store presents and not have to ask B every 5 sec. to get away from the tree.  Although, he still managed to reach an ornament or two :).

Our "1st Christmas in Texas" ornament

Helping Mom cook

This action shot of B is very appropriate for the "Wild Child" uno shirt we got him ;).

My B and me.

Holly and Ben are engaged!!!!  (I stole this pic from FB)
We are so unbelievable happy for them :).  They are moving to Houston in the Fall of 2012.  It will be so nice to have them so close!

B's "Let me have whatever I want" face.
This fake cry visits a lot.  It is oh so cute ;).

Fun with Thomas.

B wanted his friends to sit on the stairs with him.

His new thing is to put his hands behind his back.  The mystery:  we don't know where it came from.  He did not get it from day school.  I asked.  It is adorable.

We had a Christmas party with our neighbors.
The kiddos had fun decorating sugar cookies!

I love this kid!

An entertaining ornament exchange.

Boston playing with Lucas :).

One of my favorite pics of B playing cars.

The room got quiet and we discovered B sound asleep on the step.

Grammie made a special visit for B,
so Tim and I could have a date night to my company Christmas party.
They had lots of fun!

They had a little festival in Old town Katy with snow for the kids.
B didn't know what to think about the cold crunchy stuff.
He loved watching the other kids have snowball fights!

We almost missed a visit with Santa,
but he and Mrs. Claus were sweet and let us take a quick snapshot for B.
Just look at that face.

B loves gingersnaps.
He knows exactly where the out-of-his-reach cookie jar is.

Being Santa in the bathtub.  We say "HO-HO-HO Merry Christmas!"

Boston had his very 1st haircut.  It was time.
Before:

He was so good sitting in the chair.

Of course, it helped that the firetruck had a bell and a light he could switch on and off.

I think he likes his new do.

My more grown up looking, but still my baby, handsome boy.

Another visit from Santa at day school.

He even got to see one of the elfs!

B and his sweet teacher Mrs. Robin.
She is so wonderful to our boy.

1st candy cane experience on the way to the grocery store.
He really liked it!
I really liked having a sticky, red hand and faced boy while walking through the store.
It made it more fun :).
Next post:  Christmas!

Thanksgiving

Better late than never :).  We had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  I am so thankful for all of the blessings in my life.  Wonderful family and friends...happy and healthy - what else could I possibly need?  Life is good.  I'm going to keep it short, in attempt to get up-to-date with life now.

Thanksgiving time in pictures:
Family Self-portrait ;)
A visit from Aunt Chelle and Ryan to watch Ryan's rugby game.
He plays in Houston sometimes, which is awesome for us :).  It was our first rugby game to see (besides T.V.).  It was pretty cool!

A visit from Aunt Sarah all the way from Boston :).
We were so happy to get to spend some time with her while she was here.
She and Mom made a special trip to Houston just for us.  I could not get off work to see her in Shreveport.  She also took our Christmas card photos and others, including the Blog header photo.  She is so talented!  The visit was short and sweet and we enjoyed every minute!

Great picture!

Little Boston just being himself

Boston and Izzy (born 3 days earlier than B).
They are so cute!  They had lots of fun having wagon rides around MawMaw and PawPaws back yard and garden.

They were fighting over Izzy's stroller.  B loved it!
Some say this makes B look girly.  I say he will make a good big brother and daddy - ONE DAY.

This entire box was filled with homeade Sweet Potato and Pumpkin pies from MawMaw.
This doesn't include all the other sweets she had for Thanksgiving.  She spoils us with delicious food!

I heart this picture of Stacy, Aunt April, and MawMaw

Uncle Scott and Eli.  So sweet!

One of my favorite pictures of B getting love from MawMaw and PawPaw.

Beautiful view of MomR and Dad's lakehouse when we woke up in the morning.

A lakehouse neighbor had about 10 puppies that managed to come visit.
B was overwhelmed with puppy kisses!

MomR, Dad, and me.  Love.

Aunt Chelle sweetly feeding little B.

Me and my honey.

Baby Boston

An afternoon of relaxing on the patio.

Playing Tarot

I couldn't capture it fast enough.  TuTu (the escaping dog) was lying down, scratching her back on the floor.  B layed down right next to her and proceeded to copy her.  I wish I could have captured the moment a little faster!

B and Aunt Bug!

Quality time with Pop.  So sweet.

A special visit from Patrick and Spano.
They announced that they will be expecting a baby Crawford in June!  They are going to make Awesome parents :).  We are so happy for them and for a playmate for Boston!

Play time with B and Eli!
