34 weeks and counting!

This week I had my 33 week doctor's appointment. I had a sonogram to see how big baby Boston has gotten. Much to my suprise, he is 5 lbs. 1 oz.! I cannot believe that I am carrying a baby that weighs that much! The doctor said he is in the 50% percentile for his weight, which means he is average. Tim and I are thrilled to know he is doing well and is a healthy boy. The doctor also said that if he wants to come after 34 weeks, she's not going to stop him. She says at this point he is developed enough to do well if he is born. That is crazy! Tim and I could be parents anytime! However, we welcome him to stay for 6 more weeks. :)

Here he is! I can't wait to kiss those little chubby cheeks and love on him!

Growing Bump

As promised back in February, here are a few pics of my growing bump. It's funny to me looking back at these, because at each stage I felt strongly about my "bump". In the first pic from February I swore there was a bump there...it was the first time my belly felt strangely firm. The night I took the May photo, I told Tim I thought I looked HUGE...I obviously didn't realize what was coming. Looking at the latest photo, taken last weekend, I realize that I am definately big now....but I still have about 7 more weeks to go! This is going to be interesting, but I know little Boston is growing with me and that is all that matters. I have an ultrasound on Wednesday to see how big he has gotten....Can't Wait!

A Beautiful Baby Shower

This past weekend, these beautiful women (and my sister Sarah who could not be here) threw Boston and I a baby shower. They did a wonderful job and everything was beautiful! We are so grateful for everyone who came and blessed us with such thoughtful and generous gifts. We are very thankful to have such caring people in our lives.

31 weeks & counting!

I am now 31 weeks pregnant and time still seems to be flying by. Little Boston is moving around a lot, he just can't seem to stay still. His movements used to be more kicking and now I am experiencing some rolling as well. He has also been having the hiccups, which I enjoy because it is a constant movement.

Last night I sat for a long time just watching my belly move around. This wonderful feeling inside of me is so amazing. Although I know I still have about 9 more weeks to go, I ONLY have about 9 more weeks to go! I am really going to miss carrying my little buddy in my belly and all of his little movements.

I have really enjoyed this wonderful experience of my first pregnancy. I have been lucky enough to not experience sickness or any complications. I have heartburn/indigestion and I am uncomfortable at times (who isn't in this heat?!), but other than that it has been very pleasant. I just need to get through these last weeks. Tim and I have been enjoying each moment together as we anticipate the arrival of our baby boy. I have been having lots of fun picking out just the right things for Boston's nursery. I am really liking how it is turning out, although there is still more to do. We are so excited for Boston to get here!

28 weeks (7 months) tomorrow!

This past week has been pretty eventful! Since Sunday was Father's Day, we celebrated with all the Dad's for dinner each night of the weekend. It was nice to have some quality time with them. Tim got to celebrate as a Father-to-be. He is going to make such a wonderful daddy to baby Boston. Just look how he treats our little Molly :).

On Tuesday, I had a glucose test to test for gestational diabetes and had to drink this orange drink. I had to fast before I drank it and then get a blood sample taken 1 hour later. It tasted like orange soda, but not carbonated and not quite as sweet. It really wasn't as bad as I had anticipated. Unfortunately, my test came back barely positive. So...on Thursday, I had to go back and take another test. I had to fast again and then get not 1, but 4 blood samples taken. One before the drink, then 1 every hour for the next 3 hours after. The best news is...I PASSED! No diabetes for me!

On a side note, Tim is playing softball with our church league right now. Molly and I have really been enjoying going to his games. Since Molly plays fetch 24-7 (or she would if we allowed it) she is very interested in watching the ball on the field and is a big fan! Watch her follow the ball as the pitcher pitches it and then player hits it outfield.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Our baby boy's name...

One day, Tim was watching a little league World Series game and a little boy went up to bat. His name was Boston. Tim really liked it and thought it was unique and cool. When he shared it with me, I agreed that it was cute and would be a good name for our son one day.

When we shared with Tim's Grandma Grace the name Boston, she told us that Tim has a great uncle named Boston...how cool! Even more reason it works. :)

Both of Tim's grandfather's names are/were William. I also have several William's in my family. Therefore, we thought it was very fitting to incorporate it into Boston's name.

So there you have it.....BOSTON WILLIAM GRACE will be his name. We can't wait to meet him!

25 weeks and counting!

This past weekend, my aunt, cousin, and grandmother came to visit us. It was really great to see them and I'm so glad we got to catch up. My cousin, Laura, made the neatest custom plaque with baseball hooks for our little one's room. We are so excited to incorporate it and hang his infant baseball caps on it. I'm happy to share that she has just began selling them on Etsy! http://www.etsy.com/shop/BlissfulHangings

This morning, I got an ultrasound of our little baby boy. The technology we have truly amazes me! I got to see him in 4D and took home a few 3D pics. At 25 weeks and 2 days, he weighs 1 lb. 9 oz and is doing great. Here are a couple of preview pics of our very own bundle of love:
